Post Doctoral Fellowship at the Department of Computer Science an Engineering, IIT Madras

Department of Computer Science and Engineering,IIT Madras is at the forefront of higher learning and research. The Department is committed to high standards for excellence in research.Post-Doctoral Fellowships applications are invited for a number of positions as Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) at the Department of Computer Science an Engineering.
PDF posts are created specifically to bring new impetus and vigour to the Department`s research enterprise. Positions are available from time to time to meet the strategic research needs identified by the Research Labs at the Department. The candidates selected for the PDF will be pursuing independent research in association with a faculty member at the respective reserch labs in the department.
Eligibility and Duration
Eligibility: Applicant should be doctoral degree holder having undertaken original research with consistently good academic record and research potential.
Duration Appointments will be made on fixed-term contracts for a period of 2-3 years.
Benefits and Financial Support
Fellowship amount of Rs.30,000 to 35,000/ p.m. (Consolidated) will be offered.
Annual leave and medical benefits will also be available.
Suitable campus accommodation as per IIT norms may be provided.
A contingency grant of Rs.1,00,000/ per annum will be provided for research purposes.
Grant for attending National/International Conferences.
How to Apply
Applicants must submit the completed application form including the details of their research experience, publications, research proposals, etc. Applicants are also expected to submit at least two letters of recommendation/reference from peers regarding the research capabilities and other attributes of the applicant.
The age limit for applicants for the PDFs will be maximum of 35 years (relaxable by 5 years for women and reserved category).
Applications are received throughout the year. Invitation for interview will be sent by departments to the suitable applicants.
