R&D Opportunities in Computers & Electronics
Brief Abstract:
The talk will cover the R&D activities being pursued in the areas of Computers & Electronics in IGCAR, Kalpakkam. The R&D activities cover HPC, Data Communication Activities, PFBR Full Scope, replica type Operator Training Simulator, Wireless Sensor Networks etc. The talk also covers the I&C philosophy implemented in PFBR and R&D activities being pursued for I&C of future FBRs. These include design & development of VME64X based CPU & I/O cards, cPCI based CPU I/O cards for hardware diversity, Signal Conditioning modules, RADAR level probe for Sodium level measurement, third diverse shut down system etc. It also covers research work being carried out on hardware trojans. The talk lays emphasis on Information Security through examples. The talk is concluded with the job opportunities available in DAE.
