If you have reached this page then it is likely that we have some mutual interest in the research areas or thoughts.
Here is a brief info on how/when you should or should not contact me.
This note is mainly for the students.
-
If you are student and looking for admission to IIT Madras and want some fundas on the same -- I am not the right person to talk to. See the department FAQ
here.
-
If you do not have time to write individual emails and resort to bulk emails to write to faculty -- be rest assured the faculty is more busy than you and your email will be ignored.
-
It is recommended that you read through the department FAQ page to clarify many of your initial doubts before reaching me.
- If you are interested in pursuing an MS or PhD at IIT Madras: Interviews for our MS and PhD research programs are held twice a year; read details here.
-
If you have a random idea (anything under the sun) that you think is cool and want to discuss it - you are most welcome.
-
If you have a clear mind and want some hard + interesting problems to occupy it - you are most welcome to approach.
-
Email communication is better than phone.
-
Be honest in your communication about what you know/don't know, have done and not done. Otherwise, it will be mutually harmful.
-
If you are sending your resume, keep it short (1-2 pages) and preferably in txt or pdf form.
-
I take interns (summer or otherwise). Minimum span - 3 months. Suggestion for 2nd year BTech/BE students: you are encouraged to apply in your 3rd year.
