Hello, my name is Sudar!
I am a very proud Indian born in Cuddalore, Tamilnadu about 36 years back and brought up in Chennai. I am married to a beautiful woman and blessed with an 9 years old cute Angel. My education were with Madras University and IIT Madras till 2001. My bachelors degree was in Electronics & Instrumentation with an University Gold Medal and Masters degree in Computer Science. I am pursuing my PhD program in IIT Madras since 2013, after working for about 12 years. I've liking towards music, reading books, electronic gadgets, and domestic engineering. I love tasting food, particularly the spicy and hot ones. I love to spend time on learning new things be it cooking, automobiles, computers, and what not!
I am a Scientist in the field of Aritificial Intelligence particularly Text Mining. My research experiences include Statistical Natural Language Processing, Distributed Computing, Machine Learning and Text Mining. Lately, I have started developing interest towards application of AI techniques in Automobiles domain. I take social responsibility like mentoring, teaching, forums, seminars, conferences, invited talks, guest lectures, etc. Technical Teaching has always been my biggest passion. I have a passion towards supporting students who have an urge for technology. Some portion of my time is dedicated to helping students' projects and case studies. I am a strong Open Source believer and developer too. As a final note, I love my nation India and my language Tamil very much. I strive hard to be a part in making India, the sacred country.

PhD Scholar and Project Officer
IIT Madras
As a PhD Scholar, I am engaged in researching on machine learning algorithms for big data problems. I am currently working on modeling class imbalance problems in the network data setting.
As a Project Officer, I am working on solving a medical text analytics problem, specifically on applying Natural Language Processing, Information Extraction, Automatic Ontology Building techniques.
I am also offering assistance in maintaining the web infrastructure of the department computing facility.

Designed & implemented distribution computing systems for super fast search and match of text documents with very high semantic matching accuracy. Designed algorithms and systems for multi-dimensional indexing and visualization of big data problems. Developed multi-lingual and cross lingual matching systems. Productized cutting edge Statistical NLP algorithms for information retrieval and information extraction problems on large scale text corpora.
