Meetings
The course will have 4 in-person meetings per week, in the classroom CSB 15. The schedule is as follows:- Lectures: Mon (11 am), Tue (10 am), Wed (9 am)
Attendance will be taken in class and will be reported to the digicampus app as required by the academic section. Attendance requirement is as per the rules approved by IIT Madras. - Tutorials: Thu (1 pm).
Tutorial sheets will be released on moodle, at that time which will contain two parts (A & B). Students are expected to do part A in class and take the part B as homework. No submission of solutions needed for grading. But if the students do want to get a feedback on their solutions, they are free to send the same to the respective TAs or instructor directly.
Discussion Forum
Please sign up on the course discussion forum here. This will be the forum for discussions on issues/doubts which needs to be done class-wide related to the course. You can also initiate discussions on practice problem questions there, and students or staff may answer each others' questions.Evaluations
Unless otherwise specified, the Thursday slot will be used for all the tutorials and short exams for the course. Here are the precise dates of the evaluated section of the course.- Short Exam 1(*) - Mon, Feb 17, 2025, 11am - 11:50am
- Quiz 1 (20%) - Thu, Feb 27th, 1pm - 2:30pm
- Short Exam 2(*) - Wed, Mar 12, 2025, 9am - 9:50am
- Quiz 2 (20%) - Sat, Mar 22, 2025, 9:30 am - 11 am
- Short Exam 3(*) - Thu, Apr 17, 2025, 1pm - 1:50pm
- Short Exam 4(*) - Thu, May 1, 2025, 1pm - 1:50pm
- Endsem Exam (42%) - Fri, May 9, 9am - 12pm
(*)Best three of the four short exams will contribute to 18% of the final score.
We will stick to this schedule unless there is some unexpected change in the academic calendar announced by IIT Madras administration.
