As part of the KLA Workshop, the participants would learn various topics in HPC and AI.
These talks are planned throughout the week of September 27, and are open to all.

 | Modern AI in manufacturing [Slides, Video] Kris Bhaskar
Kris Bhaskar is a Senior Fellow/VP for AI initiatives group at KLA. The AI team leverages physics insights with data, algorithms to enable early technology exploration and incubation. The group nurtures key research programs with leading universities and vendors in AI and HPC.
Kris is a graduate of IIT Madras and the University of Rhode Island. Prior to joining KLA, he worked at a startup in wafer inspection that was guided by some of the early computer vision pioneers. His area of expertise is in AI, Image Processing, Vision, Software Architecture and HPC. His teams have engineered and architected many of the core software, algorithms and parallel computing systems that are the heart of KLA-Tencor inspection systems.

 | Challenges in Adopting ML in manufacturing [Slides] Jacob George
For the past 7 years Jacob has developed Algorithms & AI/ML solutions for KLA Inspection tools' defect classification system. His primary focus has been optimizing AI/ML solutions on CPU & GPU for meeting the throughput expectation of the semiconductor industry manufacturing industry.

 | Building AI Models in the Fab [Slides, Video] Steve Esbenshade
Steve has worked on software systems for KLA for over 25 years as engineer, manager, architect, and mentor. He is a graduate of Santa Clara University, MSCE with a focus on image processing. He is passionate about good system engineering and training engineers to be systems thinkers. His recent focus has been developing a software platform for training AI models to meet KLA's next generation image processing needs.

Mark has been building software infrastructure tools and frameworks for 20+ years. Recently his focus has been on supporting KLA's HPC/DL efforts with the goal of integrating GPU/DL algorithms with existing legacy vectorized CPU algorithms.

 | AI Inference on CPUs [Slides, Video] Pradeep Ramachandran
Pradeep Ramachandran is the director and head of research at KLA's Advanced Computing Lab (ACL) based out of IIT Madras Research Park. Pradeep holds a BTech from IIT Madras, and an MS and PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. His research focuses on leveraging the intersection of hardware and software for efficient system design.
