Ongoing Research Activities
- Software Defined Networks, Network Function Virtualization
and Network Slicing: for 5G Networks and other use-case
scenarios. This project is funded by VMWare Research USA.
- P4-based Network Protocols and Network Security Mechanisms
Implementation: Programmable Data Plane implementation and study
based on P4 language, implemented
on Digilent
NetFPGA-SUME Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA Development Boards, obtained
using DST-FIST grant awarded to CSE Dept and on Intel Tofino
switches available from ICAIR.
Data plane mechanisms for packet handling and network security are
being studied. This project is funded by Ciena USA.
